Year-round there is something happening at the Ella Sharp Museum of Art & History for visitors of all ages.

Ongoing Programs

  • Museum Lecture series, Curator Chats & Gallery Walks on a   variety of topics and exhibits are given throughout the year and are announced through Museum publications, the website calendar, and in the media. Admission varies with Museum members given a discounted or free admission.

  • Tours of Ella's Hillside Farmhouse for adult or student groups may be arranged by contacting the Museum. "Add ons" include slide presentations and "make & take" projects.

Festivals

  • Sugar & Shearing Festival in late March celebrates the arrival of springtime on a 19th century farm with maple sugar demonstrations and sheep shearing as well as children's art activities, food, and free admission to the Museum's galleries.

  • Art & Wine Festival is held in early June and is a day of sampling area vintner's wines as well as the opportunity to purchase creative work of regional artists, all on the beautiful grounds of the Museum campus.

  • Fall Harvest Festival takes place on the first Sunday in October and celebrates harvest time with cider and donuts, period foodways demonstrations in Ella's Farmhouse kitchen, pumpkin painting, antique tractor parade, farmers market, new exhibitions, art activities for children, and the Museum's "birthday.
