        Todd Wohlt has been carving birds for 28 years. In 1990, at 21 years old, he became a World Champion Carver and won the John Scheeler Memorial Award. He won two World Championships in 2008. The Eastern Bluebird is carved from white holly and the base from cherry wood.

Eastern Bluebirds can be found in open woodlands, meadows and fields. They

eat mostly insects, earthworms, and spiders. The birds have been in recent decline due to competition from other birds for its nesting holes.
