Sharon Sunday since age five, she has been making crayon drawings, and has been busy sketching and creating memories. Born in Jackson, she has studied art for over forty years. Her education includes an Associate’s Degree in Art from Jackson Community College, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art from Michigan State University. Sunday has always been intrigued and fascinated with Monet’s work with Impressionism. In 2005, she discovered Plein Air painting (the impressionist term to describe painting outdoors). Outside is where she loves to create numerous landscapes and reflections in the water with her pastels. She has also painted large murals in homes and commercial businesses in the Mid-Michigan area for over twenty years. When she is not teaching classes at the Ella, she is teaching at schools in the Jackson County area, and running her business to teach, paint, and do custom contract work. |
